<Storyteller> It has been two days since you docked at the harbor, In Swar. The crew
have been enjoying some much needed rest and relaxation.
* IronJohn has been gambling
<Storyteller> The day to leave has come, and as you prepare the ship, you notice two
crewmen have not reported in
* Hans has been looking for a store that will sell him a violin.
<IronJohn> "Mr.LeClaire.....It seems that we have two swabbies that have not reported
back to ship."
* Remy counts the crew
<Remy> "Yessir. It seems to be Burton, and Ryan have not checked in."
<Hans> "Where was the last place the men were Captain?"
<IronJohn> "Mr.LeClaire do you know of their last whereabouts?"
<Remy> "They went into the city, sir."
* William comes up on deck from his quarters
<IronJohn> "We are putting our departure back for three hours...I want those men
found."
* IronJohn points to William, Remy, Erik, and Hans
<IronJohn> "Come with me."
<IronJohn> "Friday you have watch."
* William looks up.
* Erik follows him
<William> "What's going on?"
<Storyteller> Friday nods
<IronJohn> "Two crew members are missing."
* Hans salutes and says "Yes sir," crisply, then follows Ironjohn.
* William nods and follows.
<IronJohn> "Mr. LeClaire please bring along 2 sets of chains."
* Remy nods
<Storyteller> As you are heading down the plank, a tall man in a Hierarchy uniform
seems to be waiting there.
<IronJohn> "The rest of you are to carry weapons."
<Hans> "Remember everyone, we aren't allowed to bring weapons into the city."
<Smythe> "Ah good afternoon, Captian John Smith??"
* IronJohn approaches the man
<IronJohn> "Aye."
<IronJohn> "And you be?"
<Smythe> "Ah good. I am David Smythe, I'm the assistant to Ambassador Walters. There
seems to be a problem."
<IronJohn> "Ye have my ear tell me of this problem."
<Smythe> "Well sir, the Ambassador wishes to see you and your command staff about the
matter."
<IronJohn> "Yes sir, may I have a moment with my crew?"
* Smythe nods
<Smythe> "Sure,sure."
* IronJohn heads back to the ship
* IronJohn gathers the "command staff"
<IronJohn> "Looks like the ambassador has a bug up his ass....keep an eye out for
treachery."
* William walks to the ramp, sword at his side.
<IronJohn> "Bring weapons but nothing noticable...William bring that big assed blade
of yours."
<Smythe> "Umm sir? There are no weapons allowed in this city."
<IronJohn> "This man has taken a vow, that weapon is part of it."
* Smythe looks at Ironjohn
* William nods
<Smythe> "Ummm ok..I uh..I guess we can make an exception."
<Smythe> "Follow me."
* IronJohn follows
* IronJohn carries his pistol in his belt
* Hans follows Smythe.
<Hans> Hans has no weapons, obeying the laws of this land to the fullest.
<Storyteller> He takes you into the city, and after a few twists and streets, you can
see the Ambassador's office.
<Storyteller> There is a large crowd of Swarians gathered there and they seem to be
protesting. The mob doesn't see you yet.
<Smythe> "Oh dear."
* IronJohn stays calm
* William slows
<IronJohn> "Smythe...what is this about then?"
* William pulls his cloak around his sword, hiding it
<Storyteller> There are Hierarchy guards around the office making sure no one get's
through.
<Smythe> "Let's go through the back."
* Smythe leads you behind the office through an alley way. The guards open the door
quickly for you.
* IronJohn enters
* William follows the group into the building
* Erik follows quickly
* IronJohn thinks to himself "Has a court martial feel to it"
* Hans follows quickly inside.
<Storyteller> The office is rather large, and luxurious. A desk, divan, and chairs
make the room 'liveable'.
* IronJohn stands
<Storyteller> A masked wraith sits behind the desk. He appears to be the Ambassador.
<IronJohn> "Mr.Ambassador...what can I do you for?"
* Hans stands at attention, waiting for something.
* William stands at the back of the room
<Walters> "Sit, please," he says motioning to the chairs
* William moves forward to stand behind the group
* IronJohn sits
* Hans sits down, only after everyone else is seated.
* Erik sits
<Walters> "We have a situation on our hands. Gerald Ryan, and Edward Burton have been
accused for the Obliviation of three women."
* IronJohn looks at the Ambassador
* Hans looks very angry at the news.
<Walters> "I don't need to tell you that the Swarian people are up in arms."
<IronJohn> "Do you think that they are guilty of the crimes?"
<Walters> "We don't believe so."
<IronJohn> "Well it looks like we have to choose between the good of the men and the
good of the Hiearchy...unless we can prove that they didn't do it."
<William> "But the people think you're just protecting them."
<Hans> "Are they going to be put on trial."
<Walters> "Yes," he says as he stands and looks to a window,"But I think the people
have already had their trial."
<IronJohn> "There is a simple solution to this ambassador."
<Walters> "Let's hear it."
* Hans gets a pained expression on his face. "Yes, the Naizis did the same thing,
except not for the people."
<William> "Find the real killers."
<IronJohn> "We get the real killers and moilate them into Ryan and Burton."
* William frowns
* Walters smiles.
<IronJohn> "Ryan and Burton get new faces and the people are satisfied."
* Hans frowns.
<Walters> "If only it was that simple."
<IronJohn> "Or we can offer up two patsys with a mask job."
<Walters> "What we need is someone with Mnemosynis. Then at least we can be sure of
their innocence."
<Hans> "I have Mnemosynis."
<William> "The real criminals should suffer justice."
* IronJohn looks at Hans
* Walters turns and looks at Hans
<Walters> "You do?"
<Hans> "Yes I do."
<Hans> "All I have to do then is ask them if they remember killing the three women."
<Walters> "Excellent, is there anyone else aboard your ship with that particular
Arcanoi?"
<William> "But will the people believe it, coming from a member of the Heiarchy?"
<IronJohn> "Not that I know of Sir."
<Hans> "Actually, there is a really important reason I wear this uniform. If I
didn't, it would not be good."
<Walters> "Well let's see the men, see if they are guilty or not."
<Storyteller> You walk out of his office and down a winding stairway that seems to
moan at every step.
* William shudders with almost every step
* William moves hastily down the stairs, eager to get off them
* IronJohn walks down them and dosen't take much notice
<Storyteller> You reach the landing and move past two guards
<Storyteller> There is a long row of caged cells, two of them are occupied.
<Walters> "Here they are."
* Erik looks at them, carefully memorizing their faces, and their expressions
<Hans> "Please bring them out one at a time for their questioning."
* William looks at them carefully, scrutinizing them
* Walters motions to the guards and they open up one of the cells, and bring out
Burton.
<Storyteller> The guards lead Burton into the interrogation room.
* Hans asks Burton to sit down.
* Burton sits
* William remains outside
<Burton> "What is happening? Captain?"
<IronJohn> "You are up on charges of offing 3 women."
<IronJohn> "Hans here is going to try to prove you innocent."
<Burton> "What!!!?? Oh god..."
<IronJohn> "Just settle down son."
<Burton> "I didn't do this, I'm telling you I'm innocent."
<Hans> "I am just going to ask you a question. Depending on the answer we get, you
may then go if it is the truth."
* Burton tries to get a grip
<Hans> "Burton. Do you remember obliviating the three women in Swara?"
<Burton> "No."
<Hans> "He is telling the truth. All he did was gamble."
* Walters nods
<Burton> "I know I didn't do it."
<Hans> "Bring in the next one."
<Storyteller> The guards help Burton to the door, and they bring in Ryan.
<Ryan> "Captian, what's going on here?"
<Hans> "I am just going to ask you a question. Depending on the answer we get, you
may then go if it is the truth."
<Ryan> "I want to know why I've been held like this?"
<IronJohn> "I am affraid that you have been accused of obliterating 3 Women."
<IronJohn> "Hans here is going to try to prove you innocent."
<Ryan> "Captian, you know I'd never do that."
<IronJohn> "I know that as well."
<Hans> "Ryan. Do you remember obliviating the three women in Swar?"
<Ryan> "No."
* Erik watches Ryan carefully
<IronJohn> "So does the Ambassador, otherwise you would have been turned over
allready."
<Hans> "I don't see any memories of him obliviating any women."
<Ryan> "I told you."
<Walters> "Well then. Guards."
<Storyteller> The guards come back in and help Ryan to his cell. he protests all the
way.
<Walters> "This is all well and good, however it's convincing that mob out there that
will be difficult." <Storyteller> To be continued
