Simon, of the Emerald Legion
Nature: Architect
Demeanor: Avant-Garde
History:
Simon had a rough childhood, and left for college when he graduated
ostensibly never to return. When in his better moods, he always tried to
get a lot done, but never really settled into any one thing. Computers
though, always fascinated him. In fact, he had sold several sharewares,
but never really completed that one "big thing" he was working
on. But this didn't really cure his loneliness... for this he sort of drifted
from one organization to another, picking up whatever cause was trendy
that week. He and a few kindred spirits (no pun intended) leapt from animal
rights, to euthanasia, to abortion.
It was this last that eventually got him killed, as he was killed
in a burst of gunplay at a counter-protest to stop some pro-life maniacs
from doing pretty much exactly what they did anyway. This was pretty typical
for him... though he was a fairly good asset, somewhat strong, perceptive,
and driven, his group just wasn't really committed to the causes, and often
failed. It was just something to do.
Unfortunately the failure had a greater impact on him then it did
his friends, and along with his natural tendency toward it, he often fell
into fits of depression. During these he'd spend weeks at a time locked
in his room, diddling with his computers or just lying around crying. He
often resented his family, but also wished he could have made peace with
them. Maybe it would have made him a little happier.
Since his death, he has been surprised that his laptop carried with
him... but has also found what might be purpose with the Hierarchy. Then
again, it might just turn out to be another thing to protest. He also has
a very strong goal in mind: to find and destroy the people that killed
him. They might not have done it on purpose, but Simon doesn't exactly
know that.
