The Dark Kingdoms
The New York Necropolis is
a harbor into the Stygian holdings in the Americas. This forces many of
the Dark Kingdoms to have ambassadors there, to make sure of their wraiths
safety, and to represent their rulers interests.
The most powerful of these ambassadors, have holdings within the
city, such as Chinatown, and little India. These domains are ruled by them,
and Stygian agents may not enter without permission.
Kirosawa, Protector of the Prosperous
Realm Chinatown
Shaka-ru, Ambassador of the Ivory Queen
Veruku-singh, Magnificent of Little India
Joshua Stueben, Ambassador of the Dark Kingdom of Wire
Ahuru, Ambassador of Amenti, the Dark Kingdom of Sand
Kirosawa,
Kirosawa has been Protector for the last fifty years. He has done an admirable job, and is highly regarded by the Hierarchy. He runs Chinatown well, and is loved by the citizens. Recently, a number of The Struggle, have challenged his authority. He has ferreted some of them out into the open, but has been largely unsuccessful in his purge. He wishes to see them to justice before word of this reaches the Emperor's ears.
Shaka-ru,
Shaka-ru is newly arrived to the New York Necropolis. The last ambassador sucumbed to his shadow recently. The interests of the Ivory Queen are unfathomable, and Shaka, still has no idea of why he has been placed here. He believes his duties are to simply make sure those of african decent, are handed over duly to the Ivory Kingdom. He has done well in this, and is currently of the idea that he should have his own domain.
Veruku-singh,
Veruku-singh, holds the newest of domains in the Necropolis. He enjoys the prestige it gives him, and he flaunts his wealth. He runs the domain almost like a pleasure palace, and he makes quite a bit of oboli. Veruku-singh is well liked, even though he is not respected, by his peers. He does take good care of those wraiths under his care, but the living he cares little for. While not seeming very powerful, Veruku knows much. He hears all the good gossip, and knows the truth from rumor. He uses this information as his wealth and he uses his wealth wisely.
Joshua Stueben,
Joshua is not quite an ambassador, as he is a protector. He governs the Jewish neighborhood and is an honest man. He loves his people and takes pride in his grim work. He hates the Hierarchy and gives them little leeway in his domain. Joshua also is an investigator and he is constantly looking for criminals who have escaped the the Dark Kingdom of Wire's justice.
Ahuru,
Ahuru is the oldest ambassador, and possibly the oldest wraith in the Necropolis. He has been in the Necropolis for two hundred years, and he knows much. Many come to him for counsel, but he speaks little. Ahuru's main duty is to ensure that all Egyptian artifacts, relics, and wraiths go to their proper place. He also makes sure that the Ba's of any deceased Followers of Horus are looked after, and their Ba's given guidance. He has recently taken an apprentice in Brianna, as the two of them share a common bond, in life both were Mages.
